Mangalore, Oct 25: Manjunath Bhandary, chairman, Bhandary Foundation handed over a Bolero vehicle to Apna Desh Association at the office of the deputy commissioner here on Wednesday, October 24.
Apna Desh Association that was re-launched in the month of August is gathering momentum in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharathlal Meena, Dakshina Kannada district in charge secretary said that the district is leading in the state in many aspects. They are also leading in the implementation of total sanitation campaign, he stated.
He further said that every village in the district must set a role model to others in one or the other aspect. The village should set an example to other villages, he suggested.
M Maheshwar Rao, deputy commissioner said more and more people should involve themselves in such associations, so that the entire district achieves progress.
Bhandary handed over the key of the vehicle to the volunteers Krishna Moolya and Sheena Shetty on the occasion.
A M Kunjappa, CEO, ZP, Hilda Rayappan, director, Prajna Counselling Centre and Raveendra Alva were present.
