Three arrested in Surat for killing Praveen Togadia' s brother

Surat, May 16 (The New Indian Express): The Gujarat Police on Sunday arrested three persons in connection with the murder of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Praveen Togadia’s cousin Bharat and two others in Surat.

The three were stabbed to death by unidentified men on Saturday.

Bharat is the brother of Praful Togadia who is a Congress candidate as well as the leader of Opposition of Surat Municipal Corporation.

Babu Hirani and Ashok Patel are the other two who were stabbed to death by unknown people on Saturday. One Mahesh Radadiya was seriously injured in the attack.

All entry and exit points in Surat have been blocked post the incident.

    The victim Bharat Togadia is not a real brother of VHP leader Praveen Togadia but he is a cousin of Praveen Togadia.
    Besides this victim Bharat was a Congress worker and not a member any Hindutva Brigade. But the news headlines give wrong impression that the Victim too was VHP member just like Pravin Togadia.
    Since the brother of the Victim that is Praful Togadia was a Congressman and also leader of opposition in Surat Corporation, so this murder may be the work of enemies of Cong.

    Whoever is involved in the murder should be punished it doesn't matter to which faction, party, religion, race, caste he belongs to. And just because he was a Congressman it doesn't necessarily mean that he should be killed by rival party, many political murders in the past have happened due to internal rivalry also don't forget that angle. Also there could some personnel revenge etc who knows. Only a detailed investigation into the matter can bring out the truth
