Two killed in road accident in Jammu


Jammu, May 16 (IANS): At least two people, one of them a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper, were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Monday in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"A passenger vehicle went out of the driver's control and plunged into a gorge on the Srinagar-Jammu highway," a senior police official told IANS.

"The killed civilian was identified as Ghulam Nabi belonging to Baramulla district in Kashmir Valley, while the BSF trooper was Babi Rai of 11 battalion."

The injured were shifted to a hospital, the official said.
