Hot Tuesday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, May 17 (IANS): It was a hot Tuesday morning here with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.6 degree Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the weather office said.

"The sky will remain clear. Dust storm and haze are likely to occur towards the evening and morning," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

According to the official, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.

The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 38 percent, the official said.

The maximum temperature on Monday settled at 43.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, season's average.
