SpiceJet launches 'anniversary sale' offer


New Delhi, May 17 (IANS): Budget passenger carrier SpiceJet on Tuesday launched a new sale offer to commemorate 11 years of its operations.

According to the low cost carrier (LCC), "The Anniversary Sale" offer provides passengers with one-way base fares starting at Rs.511 for domestic sector routes and Rs.2,111 for international sectors, excluding statutory taxes and fees.

"The three-day sale launched today will be open till midnight, 19 May 2016 for domestic travel period 15 June 2016 to 30 September 2016 and international travel period 1 June 2016 to 20 July 2016," the company said in a statement.

The company further said that the sale offer is valid only for direct flights within SpiceJet’s network. 

"We celebrate 11 years of pursuing our grand vision of fulfilling every Indian's dream of flying and the journey so far has been incredible," Shilpa Bhatia, senior vice president, commercial, SpiceJet was quoted in the statement as saying.

"These special fares are our way of expressing gratitude to our valuable customers who have supported us in this turnaround."

Currently, the airline operates 306 daily flights to 41 destinations, including 35 domestic and six international ones.
