Delhi government seeks suggestions on draft full statehood bill


New Delhi, May 18 (IANS): The Delhi government on Wednesday unveiled its draft bill for full statehood to Delhi and invited suggestions from the public.

"We have uploaded the draft bill on our website, we welcome suggestions till June 30," Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal told reporters.

"This had been a long pending demand of the BJP as well as Congress, and I hope that the central government will cooperate with us in this regard," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal said that people can e-mail their suggestions at fullstatehood.delhi@gmail.com.
