Duststorm, rains brings respite to Lucknow

Lucknow, May 21 (IANS): Duststorm followed by heavy rains on Saturday brought respite to people suffering from the sweltering heat in and around Lucknow.

The Regional Met Office predicted the maximum temperature to be three notches below the average day temperature over the week and it is likely to settle at 41 degrees Celsius.

However, more than 10 percent of the mango harvest was reported damaged in Malihabad due to the duststorm.

Hoardings, trees and electricity poles were uprooted in places hit by the duststorm.
