Key Indian equity indices open higher


Mumbai, May 23 (IANS): Key Indian equity indices opened higher on Monday morning following global cues.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 168.82 points or 0.67 percent higher during the morning session.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 51.45 points or 0.66 percent higher at 7,801.15 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,447.72 points, was trading at 25,470.72 points (at 9.15 a.m.) in the early session, higher 168.82 points or 0.67 percent from the previous day's close at 25,301.90 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 25,519.26 points and a low of 25,447.72 points in the trade so far.
