Udupi: Man dies in car-lorry accident

Udupi, May 25: A man lost his life in an accident which occurred late evening on Sunday May 23 at Kumragodu near Brahavar in the talk on national highway 66. The accident occurred when a car rammed into a stationary truck.

A Maruti Omni van moving towards the town from the direction of Saligrama hit a truck that had been parked by the side of national highway 66 after it developed some snag. Devaraja Gowda (50), who was seated in the front seat of the car suffered serious injuries. He was taken to a private hospital at Brahmavar but he passed away on the way to the hospital.

Driver of the car, Maula Gulab, and four other occupants of the car were injured in this accident. A case about the accident was registered at Brahmavar police station.
