India, Argentina share vibrant bilateral relations: Pranab


New Delhi, May 25 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee greeted Argentina on the occasion of its National Day on Wednesday and said recent high level bilateral exchanges have helped invigorate ties.

Argentina observes its National Day on May 25. 

In a message to Mauricio Macri, president of the Argentine Republic, Mukherjee said: “It is with immense pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the government and people of Argentina on the occasion of your National Day.” 

Mukherjee said the “traditionally close ties” between India and Argentina have further strengthened and diversified in recent years. 

“High level exchanges, such as your interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington recently and the visit of the Secretary of Foreign Relations of Argentina to India last year have invigorated our bilateral engagement,” he said.

The president said he is “confident that our relations will assume greater depth and content” in the coming years.
