Pinarayi Vijayan sworn in as Kerala Chief Minister


Thiruvananthapuram, May 25 (Agencies): LDF leader Pinarayi Vijayan was sworn in as the 12th Kerala Chief Minister by Governor Justice (retd) P Sathasivam along with a 19-member cabinet on Wednesday.

Elaborate arrangements had been made at the Central Stadium for the swearing-in ceremony, which was attended by senior CPI(M) leaders and thousands of party workers.

The 72-year-old Vijayan, son of a toddy tapper, had earlier called on the Governor.
