Marijuana recovered from two smugglers in Jammu


Jammu, May 26 (IANS): Police recovered 8 kg of marijuana from two smugglers in Jammu's Udhampur district on Thursday.

"Udhampur police has arrested two narcotics smugglers from Birma bridge. Eight kilogrammes of marijuana was recovered from them," a senior police official said.

"The consignment was being transported from Kashmir to Jammu. It was recovered from a private car during routine checking on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway," the official said.

"The smugglers were identified as Jabad Ahmed and Muhammad Aslam."
