Dubai: Annual Family Get-together of SFX Kutam Mudarangadi held

SFX Kutam – Mudarangadi, an association of Mudarangadi parishioners residing in the UAE organized the annual family get-together at Vinny's Hotel here on Friday October 26.

The celebrations started at 12 noon. It was a wonderful family gathering for everyone as they got together for some fun, entertainment and a fellowship. Asha Fernandes led the prayer followed by a unique welcome dance by baby Calida.
 
Anil Prakash D'Souza, the president of the association welcomed the gathering. In his welcome note he highlighted the association's objective of uniting all the parishioners under one roof and also extending the ever-helping hand to the needy back home. He also highlighted the challenges ahead and the importance of support of the members in achieving the association's objectives.

Janet D’Silva, secretary presented the annual report and highlighted the achievement of SFX Kutam with an overview of the charity work undertaken during the year.
 
Varieties of games and entertainment programmes were conducted. Initially the gathering was divided into 2 teams, viz, Dalantre and Durgadakaate and various games were conducted between these two teams.

Calida, Riyan, Alister Aranha, Allinson Aranha, Arnold and Saritha danced to the tune of some beautiful Hindi numbers.  Special attraction of the programme was a Konkani song sung by Sandeep, Vinod, James and Santhosh, recalling the good old days and remembering some of the famous personalities of Mudarangadi. Apart from this a group dance by Prakash, Johnson, James, Asha, Janet and Aloma attracted the audience and was highly appreciated.
 
A sumptuous lunch was served to all present. 
 
It was decided to organize a picnic of Mudarangadi parishioners in the month of February in order to keep up the same spirit.
