M'luru: Fr Praveen Monteiro ordained priest by Bishop Aloysius

Mangaluru, May 27: There is an addition to the priests among Catholics to spread the holy gospel. Fr Praveen after 13 years of long meditation, prayer and training is ordained priest in Ashok Nagar church by bishop of Mangaluru Dr Aloysius Paul D' Souza.

Fr Praveen is the first priest in the history of Peruvayi Mother of Fathima Church.

Ashok Nagar church parish priest Fr Aquin, Peruvayi church parish priest Fr Andrew D'Costa, Fr John, Fr Vincent and a large of number of priests and thousands of well wishers congratulated the newly ordained priest and offered their prayers.

Fr Praveen Monteiro is the second among five children of Manila gram Muruva residents John Monteiro and Dulcine D'Souza.

He completed his primary education at Kasargod's Bela Convent and High school education in Manila High school. He later joined St Dominic congregation and obtained 13 years of training to be a priest.
