NPCIL FY16 net goes up to Rs.2,707 crore


Chennai, May 28 (IANS): India's atomic power plant operator Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) closed last fiscal with a net profit of Rs.2,707 crore, up by around Rs.506 crore over the previous fiscal.

According to NPCIL, the company had logged a net profit of Rs.2,707 for on a total revenue of Rs.9,795 crore for the year ended 31.3.2016.

The nuclear power plant operator had earned a revenue of Rs.8,957 crore and a net profit of Rs.2,201 crore for the year ended 31.3.2015.

The NPCIL board that met on Friday in Mumbai has recommended a dividend of 30 percent of post tax profit excluding self-insurance fund of Rs.78.37 per share for the year 2015-16 totalling to Rs.800.24 crore.

The Rs.10,217 crore equity capital based NPCIL has already paid an interim dividend of Rs.630.11 crore during the fiscal 2015-16.
