Pak has ability to target Delhi from Kahuta in five minutes, says Qadeer Khan

New Delhi, May 29 (Agencies) : Father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan on Saturday said that Pakistan is capable of targeting Indian capital Delhi from Kahuta near Rawalpindi in five minutes.

Dr. Khan made this statement while addressing the rally on the anniversary of first nuclear tests, which were carried out under his supervision in 1998.

Pakistan could have become a nuclear power as early as 1984 but the then president General Zia ul Haq ‘opposed the move. Genereal Zia who ruled Pakistan from 1979 to 1988, opposed the nuclear testing as he believed that the world would intervene militarily, he added.

Regretting the treatment he said that ‘Pakistan would never have achieved the feat of becoming first Muslim nuclear country without his services.’ Khan in 2004 was forced to accept t responsibility for nuclear proliferation and live a life of semi house arrest.

    Pak has ability to target & distroy India and India has ability to target & distroy Pak. We are same people with same old Civilization. Our hatred and intolerance towards each other brought poverty & destruction to our Indian sub continent. I strongly believe that if We continue the way we handle our Nationalistic organization like RSS/BJP in India and Taliban/Islamic fundamentalists in Pakistan India will be destroyed by none other then Indians (RSS/BJP & Hindu fundamentalists. and Pakistan will be destroyed by Pakistani religious fundamentalists.

    Having nuclear capability is one thing but using it against another nuclear power is absolutely suicidal unless the 'first strike totally incapacitates the launching facilities of the other
    As for the FATHER of Pak nuke program Qadeer, it's a well known fact that he stole documents from an organization where he was employed at, in Holland that enabled Pak to develop their bomb. Apt name for this bomb would have been 'Stolen bomb' or 'Alibaba Bomb'

    Please do not think of having a nuclear war. If at all nuclear war takes place then the whole world and civilization may suffer and destruction will be beyond recognition. Pakistan is capable if not equally powerful like India but it's not like a conventional war. In such warfare there is no winner but devastation of humanity.
