Mangalore, Oct 31: Two students of Aloha Learning Centre, Chilimbi of the city, namely Karan S Hattiangady and Raksha B S have secured the first and second prizes respectively, in the IV Karnataka state-level Aloha Abacus and Mental Arithmetic competition held at the Ambedkar Bhavan in Bangalore on Monday October 30.
As a result of their winning the above prizes Karan and Raksha are now eligible to compete in the national-level competition to be held at Chennai in December 29. The certificates of merit and prizes were presented to the winners by the Chennai-based Aloha India chairman K Kumaran. In all, around 1,300 students from the state took part in the competition.
