Audiences will see my new avatar in 'A...Aa': Nithiin

Chennai, May 31 (IANS): Actor Nithiin, who awaits the release of forthcoming Telugu romantic drama 'A...Aa', says audiences will get to see him in an avatar they haven't seen before.

Directed by Trivikram, the film also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Anupama Parameswaran, among others.

"Trivikram has portrayed me in a new light. Audiences will see a new Nithiin in the film. As an actor, it was a refreshing change to see myself in an avatar I haven't played before," Nithiin told IANS.

In the film, he plays a cook. He says this is the first time in his career that he underwent an acting workshop.

"Trivikram insisted that I undergo acting workshop. I really enjoyed the process and I'm thinking of undergoing a workshop before I start work on all my new projects," said Nithiin, who felt working with Trivikram made him a better person.

Nithiin has been active in the industry for over a decade. However, he still feels his career only began in 2012.

"Although I debuted in 2002, I struggled for nearly a decade to score a hit. It all changed with 2012 film 'Ishq', and since then luck has favored me. Hence, I feel my career only started in 2012," said Nithiin.

Last year, Nithiin debuted as a producer with "Akhil", but the film tanked.

Undeterred by the failure, he said he will continue producing films.

"It really felt bad that our months of hard work didn't translate into success. We thought 'Akhil' will appeal to everybody but we were proven wrong. The result of a film is not in our hands," he said.
