Stacey Dash slams transgenders

Los Angeles, Jun 2 (IANS): Amid the ongoing debate over the bathroom law in the US, controversial actress Stacey Dash has slammed transgenders, saying that they should urinate in the "bushes".

In her new memoir "There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative", the 49-year-old has called out Caitlyn Jenner over her use of women's bathrooms.

The transgender bathroom usage controversy erupted following the passage of a bill in North Carolina that required that people use the bathroom corresponding to their biological gender.

"It is (a) tyranny by the minority. Why do I have to suffer because you can't decide what you wanna be that day," Dash told etonline.com.

"It's your body! So, it's your decision, right? We all make choices," she added.

Dash said the trans rights movement has started to "infringe upon (her) rights too much".

"OK, then go in the bushes. I don't know what to tell you, but I'm not going to put my child's life at risk because you want to change a law so that you can be comfortable with your beliefs -- which means I have to change my beliefs and my rights? No," she said.

Dash also blasted Gaga, calling her a "hypocrite".

She said that the pop star is using her anti-bullying campaign, the Born This Way Foundation, as a trick to promote her "liberal agenda".

"It's true. It is. And that's what Hollywood does. Hollywood pushes a liberal agenda to the rest of the country. And whether we like it or not, Hollywood dictates the culture of the country," Dash said.

"If (Gaga's intentions were pure) then it wouldn't have brought up all that other stuff, you know? All the other things that came in wouldn't have come into play," she added.
