Muniyappa confirms he is eying KPCC president post

Bengaluru, Jun 3: Kolar MP and former union minister, K H Muniyappa, asserted on Thursday that he happens to be an aspirant to the position of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president. "If an opportunity comes my way, I am prepared to lead the party's state unit" he added.

Muniyappa was speaking to media persons after meeting state chief minister, Siddaramaiah, at his home office, 'Krishna', and holding discussions with him. At the same time, he hastened to add that he is not in the race for the post of the chief minister in the current term.
