Both the driver and cleaner of the truck got down from the vehicle immediately after the accident and escaped. Reportedly, driver of the truck lost control over the vehicle because of the road having been turned slippery due to rain. While the bus driver escaped unscathed, some bus passengers suffered nicks and cuts.

Traffic was blocked as the truck got stranded on the middle of the road after this accident. The situation also got complicated on account of hundreds of people who had gathered there to watch the proceedings.
