Mount Rosary School bids farewell to Sr Adrian Serrao

Udupi, Jun 4: On behalf of the students Swathi, Cryston D'Souza, Anvitha Tantri and Shraddha Shetty, and on behalf of the teachers Sunil Poojary delivered the farewell remarks.






Sr Adrian Serrao thanked all the government officials like district SP Annamalai, education department officials, church management committee, parents and teachers and public for their co-operation in school activities in the last 10 years and urged them to give the same support to the new headmistress. She stated that they would relish and cherish the memorable days of her life as headmistress of the school.  

At the end of the felicitation function, a school student presented a farwell dance that was enlightening and touched the hearts of the audience. They expressed in their own creative ways their gratitude to their headmistress.

Janardhan Thonse (ZP member), Jerry Vincent Dais (vice-president of the church), Madukar S (district physical training officer), Ashok Kumar Shetty (president district headmasters association) expressed their  admiration to Sr Adrian, her service to the institution and her achievements.
 
In his presidential remarks Fr Philip Neri Aranha correspondent of the school said that Sr Adrian's farewell is a memorable event as it comes after 10 years of dedicated service as the headmistress of the Mount Rosary School. He greatly appreciated her dedicated and sincere service to the institution and said that thousands of students whom she had taught were fortunate of having had her as their teacher and whished her well in her future mission.

Fr Anil Fernandes (assistant parish priest), Fr Victor Feranades (HM Milagres PU College, Kallianpur), Fr Maquenji Mendonca(parishioner), Henry Mendonca (school administration committee member), Nithyananda (PTA president), Bhujanga Shetty (taluk physical officer) Sr Mari Jane (superior Carmel Convent Santhekatte) Sr Vanditha (new headmistress of the school) were present.

Meena proposed the vote of thanks, Sathish Chitrapadi compered the programme.
