Puttur, Jun 8: Imran (28), who belonged to Uppinangady and was working as electrician at Bengaluru died after he accidentally fell down from the 18th floor of an apartment complex at Bengaluru on Tuesday June 7. The policemen said that the accident occurred when he was fitting an air-conditioner in the 18th floor of Salarpuria Apartment on Sarjapur Road.

Imran operated an air-conditioner servicing centre at Bommanahalli and resided there. He had married one and half years back, and his wife is two months into her pregnancy, it is gathered. Imran had gone to Bengaluru seeking greener pastures and lived with friends at Bommanahalli.

Imran had gone to the said apartment after the owner of the flat concerned asked him to service the existing air-conditioner and fix a new one. He went there with a friend and started work. He was fixing a new air-conditioner by putting his weight on an old air-conditioner when he slipped down. He suffered serious head injuries and died on the spot, it is gathered.

A case about the incident was filed in H S R Layout police station.
