Chelsea Handler's Twitter account hacked, restored

Los Angeles, June 8 (IANS): After Katy Perry, actress-comedienne Chelsea Handler is the latest celebrity whose Twitter account has been hacked.

On Tuesday, someone seized and took over the comedian's Twitter account and posted some random tweets, reports aceshowbiz.com.

One tweet asked Handler's fans to follow rapper Drake on the micro-blogging site.

In another tweet which was directed to FaZe Clan, the official account of a gaming community, the hacker wrote: "Can I join you please?"

A few seconds later, a third tweet was posted and read: "I got my account back... report Blasts Mods (@trickshotter) for spam. They hacked my account".

As it turned out, the third tweet wasn't from Handler herself, but it was posted by the hacker. After reading the tweet, Handler's followers quickly pointed out that the mastermind of the hacking was the user named Blasts Mods.

However, the user clarified that he wasn't behind the hacking.

"Well a hacker decided to tweet at me on a hacked account, saying that I'm the hacker, I'm not but I guess it is funny... Just saying, I did not hack Chelsea Handler. Somebody is framing me," wrote the user.

A few hours later Handler managed to get her account back.

The hacking followed a series of similar incidents targeting the Twitter accounts of Kylie Jenner, Drake, Lana Del Rey and Jack Black's band Tenacious D.
