M'luru: Prestige Int’l School holds vanamahotsava celebrations

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 8: Prestige International School gave a green boost to their Vanamahotsava celebrations by planting numerous saplings in their school garden.

On June 7, students presented an awareness programme highlighting the role of students in protecting nature which was reinforced by chief guest Lalitha G Mallya who is a philanthropist and Green Environment award winner.

Accompanied by school MD, Reshma Hyder and principal Feroza Fayaaz, Lalitha G Mallya planted a rose sapling and gave a rousing talk about the ‘chipko movement’ and five steps to protect trees.

The recycle water plant installed in the school provides water to all the plants in the school garden. This is a small way in making the school environment friendly.

The programme concluded with message of gifting plants to one another to ensure a green earth for future generation.
