New Delhi, Jun 9 (Agencies) : A children home officer, who was arrested on charges of rape two days ago in the national capital, made videos of the act, it has emerged.

The accused had allegedly sexually assaulted more than 12 girls aged between 8 and 10 years at a children home in Delhi. He was arrested on Tuesday night.

He had also photographed the girls naked, it has been alleged.

The caretaker of the home had revealed the crime to the police after the girls narrated their ordeal to her on June 2.

According to a statement reportedly given to the police by the caretaker: “He took the girls to a small room and locked it from inside.

“He fiddled with their underclothes claiming that he was doing a check-up and sexually assaulted them.

“First the girls resisted, then cried, but he gagged them and held both their arms with one hand as he continued to assault them.

“He did not let them go till he was done. One by one, he assaulted 12 girls the same way.”

The accused, a a gazetted officer, was enrolled as a welfare officer by the Delhi government in 1998 and posted at the home since August 2015, the Hindustan Times reported on Thursday.
