Beltangady, Jun 11: In an incident which occurred at Marodi within the jurisdiction of Venoor police station, a person ended his life by hanging himself from a tree.
The deceased has been identified as Krishnappa Salian (65), a resident of Moodukonaje in Moodbidri. Because of health and financial problems, he was fed up with life, it is said. Krishnappa had visited the house of Aithappa Poojary ad Kalpatta, Marodi, where the ancestral house of Salian is located. During this period, unnoticed by anyone, he hanged himself from a tree near his ancestral house.
The deceased has left behind wife, two sons and a daughter. A report about the suicide was registered in Venoor police station about this incident.
