Suzuki resumes production post maintenance shutdown


Chennai, June 13 (IANS): Car major Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Monday said it has resumed production at its plants in Haryana that were closed down for maintenance.

In a regulatory filing at the BSE, the company said it resumed production on Monday after maintenance closure.

The company had advanced the regular bi-annual maintenance closure of its plants from June 27-July 2 to June 6-11, following a fire on May 29 at the plant of its supplier Subros Ltd at Manesar in Haryana. 

Due to strenuous efforts made by all concered, operations at Maruti Suzuki's facilities in Gurgaon and Manesar in Haryana have begun smoothly, the statement added.
