Passenger dies aboard Emirates flight


London, June 20 (IANS): A man died on board an Emirates flight from Dubai to Manchester on Monday, an official said.

The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed but the passenger, who has been described as "elderly", was understood to have been ill before boarding the flight, the Daily Mail reported.

The Boeing 777 landed at Manchester sirport at 7.30 a.m. and a medical team met the passenger but he died during the flight.

Emirates confirmed a passenger died on Flight EK21 from Dubai.

"Emirates can confirm that a passenger on board Monday's Emirates flight EK 21 passed away during the flight," the official said. 

Emirates was handling the situation.
