Markets open on higher note


Mumbai, Jun 21 (IANS): The 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex), after opening on a positive note on Tuesday, moved into the negative zone during the morning session of the trade.

The Sensex, after opening at 26,907.42 points touched a high of 26,925.64 points and a low of 26,824.26 points.

the Sensex closed at 26,866.92 points ON Monday.

The Sensex is trading at 26,850.51 points, down by 16.41 points or 0.06 per cent.

On the other hand the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,255.40 points after closing at 8,238.50 points.

The Nifty is trading at 8,225.90 points in the morning.
