Udupi, Jun 23: “I have paid my last respect to all victims of Trasi accident and consoled the bereaved families. The state government should control over speeding school vehicles and take stern action against those who violate the norm,” said Udupi Chikkamagluru MP Shobha Karandlaje in a press meet at BJP office here on Thursday, June 23.

“These days, road mishaps are frequently happening in the district. Many BJP workers have lost their life in accidents. If the government does not govern the speed of these vehicles then the number of victims will increased.”

“We have called for a meeting with SP and DC this evening where we will discuss about this issue. It was very sad and unfortunate that six children of three families died in the tragic accident. The families have lost their future pillars of home.”

“The state government has to announce compensation soon for families of the victims. All heads of education institutions should form norms for vehicles and they should collect information of drivers and conductors before hiring them for jobs.”

“Some districts of Karnataka are facing famine and on other hand the heat of cabinet expansion also seems to affect the growth of state. For the last two months, no developmental work has been witnessed as all ministers have stopped their work. The state government should release pending amount for developmental works,” she said.

Criticizing Congress party, Shobha further said, “There is lot of confusion in the party. The Chief Minister has given up honest and sincere ministers from the cabinet and added new people.”

Regarding dropped ministers from cabinet she said, “I respect senior Congress leader Srinivas Prasad and other experienced politicians. We never think about drawing his attention to join our party. Let the Congress party complete two years. It is their internal issue. We would not like to intervene. The party leader should control their party workers. Public will change the party itself after seeing the whole development.”

“B S Yeddyurappa is senior and experienced politician in the party. We have no such misunderstanding within the party. Everyone should support each other and always keep unity in BJP,” she added.

BJP supporters observed the death anniversary of Shyam Prasad Mukherjee at the city's BJP office, Kadiyali on Thursday June 23.

On the occasion, Mahila BJP morcha and party workers felicitated MP Shobha Karandlaje on her appointment as state general secretary of BJP.

She paid tribute to late Shyam Prasad Mukherjee by placing flowers around his photo.

Addressing the gathering she said, "No one can beat the record set by Shyam Prasad and his sacrifices for the nation were incredible. He was fed up with Nehru's principles. He died a mysterious death at Srinagar jail and no investigations have been held so far.

Appreciating his works Shobha said, "He ended the practice of hoisting two flags and appointing two prime ministers for Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir had lost a major portion as a result of Nehru's political conspiracy. Pakistan occupied 45,000 square kilometres of Kashmir."

She alleged China supported Pakistan in order to defeat India. Now Kashmir has become a training center for terrorists.

India wants to take up membership of NSG and it has been a long pending desire. China opposes India's entry to NSG.

After a long time prime minister Modi tried to convince big brother (USA) to maintain a mutual relationship between neighbouring countries.

She also added, "Our ultimate aim is to protect Kashmir from external attacks and to make it part of our nation. We need to isolate Pakistan from India so that we can build a good relationship with our neighbouring countries.

Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, district party president, Shyamala Kundar, state working secretary, Uday Kumar Shetty, Dinakar Babu, president, zilla panchayat Udupi, Sheela K Shetty, vice president zilla panchayat, Raghupati Bhat, former MLA and others were present.

Shobakka....it looks like you came to gain political mileage rather than to condole the deaths of the little angels. To hell with all these cheap politicians like you.
