Udupi: Agri gold depositors, agents to get assured sum

Udupi, Jun 25: “Depositors and agents need not to worry about their deposited money. All those who have put their hard earned money into the deposit schemes will be compensated accordingly,” said B S Chandru, chief organizer, Joint Action Committee (All India Agri gold Customer and agent and welfare association and other NGO’s in Karnataka) in a press meet at Brahmagiri on Saturday June 25.

“All necessary legal actions are going on in the court. Within two and half months, all customers will be compensated with assured amount. The joint committee is requesting all the customers to have trust on court. There are 30 lac customers across the country, Rs 8 thousand crore of money is still pending to pay to depositors, agents and the total amount of seized property of Agri gold is Rs 16 thousand crore.”

“There are 9 lac customers in Karnataka. Out that, there are two lacs agents. Karnataka has to get Rs 3000 crore due payment. Coastal customers have to get Rs 1.5 crores money.”

“A writ has been submitted to Karnataka State high court and appropriate action will be taken to recover money. The claims of depositors as well as agents of Agri Gold Farma India Private Limited, Vijayavada Institution will be settled soon.”

“The committee also requested the court, to take up the charge of compensation. State and Central government finance and housing department, Security Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Mumbai, Directorate of enforcement Delhi and Agri gold institution would be defendants as per the court instructions,” he added.

“A complaint had been registered against Prakash Devadiga, Udupi regional director. He is absconding now,” he said.

Shanmuga Gudisal, Gadag, Vindresh, Hasan, Keshav, Uchila, Madhukar, Dakshina Kannada were present during the press meet.
