LeEco's 'superphones' new 'in demand' gadgets for Indians

New Delhi, June 26 (IANS): Chinese internet and technology conglomerate LeEco has created a new model combining "superphones" with its own supertainment programme in the country.

LeEco’s "superphone" has now become the new enviable gadget in the country by offering all-in-one feature phones for its users.

“LeEco is the only player in India that has ventured and pioneered the content membership model on a superphone and has taken the competition in the smartphone industry to a different play field,” the company said in a statement.

"It will serve as the primary channel for customers to engage with LeEco and become a part of LeEco's ecosystem through its products and services," the statement added.

LeEco’s ecosystem is a unique model where content can be viewed, synchronised and shared seamlessly across mobile, tablet, computer, smart TV, cinema and auto.

The company is already in the process of setting up an in-house Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) in ten cities across India by end of 2016.

It will also invest over $10 million to set up the cloud infrastructure. The CDNs will ensure faster seamless distribution of content.

LeEco has also received over one lakh registrations for its first flash sale in India of newly-unveiled "superphones" -- Le 2 and Le Max2.

The flash sale is slated to begin on e-tailer Flipkart and LeMall, the company's recently launched e-commerce website, on June 28.
