Bangalore, Nov 13: Another political party will spring in Karnataka on November 14 with Mahima J Patel, son of former Karnataka Chief Minister J H Patel launching 'Suvarna Yuga' at Talakavery, the birth place of sacred river Cauvery.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the party would be purely based on values and principles and not personality oriented.
Mr Patel, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly Channagiri on Janata Dal (Secular) ticket in the 2004 election, resigned the primary membership of the party and cabinet rank portfolio of Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister in protest against the party, not handing over the coveted portfolio to its coalition partner BJP as per agreement.
He said he will also quit from the Assembly.
Mr Patel said though ''remarriage'' had taken place and BJP-led coalition Government assumed power, there was no going back on his decision. ''The remarriage of BJP and JD(S) might be for many reasons, including personal protection feared by Legislators, but I wish the new government all the best and let it perform well'', he added.
Mr Patel said his party would be fielding candidates to all the 224 seats in the next Assembly elections and they would be chosen from different fields with integrity and commitment towards the development of the state.
''Symbol and party flag would be finalised before the launch,'' he added.
