M'lore: 'Imbroglio over Train Service will Be Sorted' - Oscar

Mangalore Nov 13: Union minister of state for labour and employment Oscar Fernandes was in the city here on Monday, Nov. 12 amidst the imbroglio over the exact date of starting of the Mangalore-Bangalore train service. Fernandes who is playing a major role in trying to sort out the said issue pacified that he would “go back and check out the problems, if any” 

Speaking to media persons here, he clarified that the train services should have commenced on Nov 1, however it was delayed as the authorities of the railway safety commission wanted some more changes in the broad gauge. He assured that he would take the initiative and check out the present status once he returns back to the capital.

With regard to questions pertaining to the BJP-JD(S) coalition coming back to power in the State again, he did express his unhappiness over the matter. Fernandes rued that he felt disillusioned as now once again, the development projects of the State will come to a standstill with the same coalition coming to power.

However, he expressed the hope “I wish the progress of the State will not be hindered”. On a specific query pertaining to the stand of the party in this issue, he replied that all leaders in the Congress party had a unanimous opinion regarding any political development in the State.

Moreover pontificate on the party’s functioning he declared that “Everybody (party men) have their own duties. They will concentrate on performing them promptly,” he assured.

    Oscar wants to sort the "imbroglio' about which he will go to Dili and find out what the problem is.Did he just wake up ?

    Mr Oscar Fernandes says thay he would sort out problems "if ant" with regard to the inordinate delay in starting the Mangalore-Bangalore Train, after his return to Delhi This is sheer hypocrecy and playing politics with the innocent people of Mangalore Is he not aware of the ulterior motive of the Congress centre? The only sin of we people have commited is that Karnataka is a non Conress ruled state and that is the problem by implication ???

    I fully agree with Sunil.Oscar should not blame anybody but their own party for the sad state of affairs in Karnataka.Just see how other states inclding Bihar is progressing where as karnataka is in state of coma with no progress.the only progress being change of Governments now and then.

    Mr Fernandes you are a wasted politician.10 more long year passed and u never tried to comence the train services to mangalore -bangalore.rcently the railways safety team travelled on this route and assurred that ur madam sonia will inaugrate the train on nov 15.u peole are playing injustice to costal people.it seems this 15th november may be 2020 century.put pressure on ur madam sonia and lalu and start the train as scheduleed on 15th november then only people will belive that u r really concerned about the mangaloriens.
