Puttur: Illegal cow slaughter - two arrested

Puttur, Jun 30: Uppinangady police, on Wednesday June 29, arrested two persons on the allegation of illegally slaughtering a cow. Thomas P K and Junie from Konalu village near Uppinangady were taken into custody.

After they got information that a cow was being sluaughtered near a nursery at Kolpe, a police team raided the spot. The police found that a cow had been slaughtered, its limbs had been separated, and beef was being prepared. The police, beside taking the said accused into custody, also confiscated the remains of the slaughtered cow from the spot.
