eDX invites Super 30 founder to teach mathematics

New Delhi, Jul 1 (IANS): eDX an online learning platform of Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has invited founder of Super 30 Anand Kumar to teach mathematics.

"As eDX offers a few courses free of cost for the students and as there are several similarities in the format and purpose of eDX and Super 30. Thus if they work together, a large number of students from across the world could benefit from it," said MIT professor Anant Agarwal in a letter to Kumar.

eDX also provides many courses in language.

Kumar, who could not study at Cambridge University due to financial problems, had established Super 30 in 2002 in Bihar's Patna district to offer free coaching to poor students seeking admission into IITs.

Every year he selects 30 meritorious students from economically backward sections of society and prepares them for the IIT entrance exam and 90 per cent of them make it.
