Mangalore, Nov 15: There is good news for the bus commuters wishing to travel to Pune city and other nearby districts of Maharashtra. The city division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will reintroduce the luxury liner AC buses viz the Mangalore-Pune Volvo bus service here from Friday, Nov 16.
According to a statement issued by the senior divisional controller P.B. Karumbaiah the luxury liner Volvo bus would be travelling via Udupi, Kundapur, Bhatkal, Kumta, Ankola, Yallapur, Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum, Nippani and Kolhapur.
From the city it will be departing at 4 p.m. and reaching Pune at 6.20 a.m. the next day. On its return journey, the bus will be leaving Pune at 5 p.m. and reaching here at 6.20 a.m. the next day.
Currently the Mangalore-Mumbai service which leaves at 3 p.m will be pre-poned and will be leaving at 2 p.m. On its way to Udupi, the bus will go via Gurupur, Kaikamba, Yedapadavu, Moodbidri, Karkala, NITTE, Belman, Manchakal, and Katpadi and not Suratkal, informed official sources.
