Bangalore, Nov 15: Lioness Club, Bangalore Spoorthi District 324 D6, celebrated Children’s day at Maxwell Public School on Wednesday November 14.
Regina Moses welcomed the gathering. This was followed by invocation song by Bhaggya, student of 2nd standard.
About 40 students participated in fancy dress competition from nursery to 2nd standard. It was a wonderful sight to see these little kids playing their role as Miss India, Shivaji, Architect, Doctor, Flower girl, Kittur Rani Chennamma, Japanese girl, Kodava girl, Spider man, Bunny Rabbit, Little angel, Murali Krishna etc.
Winners were awarded with prizes.
Principal GK Ushakumari in her keynote address, advised the children about the determination in achieving their goals with hard work and sincere effort. Recognition for the ‘Best student of the year 2007’ was pleasant surprise of the day.
Ruby Caroline, Maxwell school teacher compered the programme. Mani Meghalai proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem. All the children walked away with sweets to mark this memorable day.
