MTR Foods tie-up with HOPCOMS for fresh fruits, vegetables

Bengaluru, Jul 7: Leading private sector food outfit, MTR Foods has entered into an agreement with Karnataka Horticultural Producers Cooperative Marketing and Processing Society (HOPCOMS) for directly buying fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers.

The partnership agreement signed between MTR Foods Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Sharma and HOPCOMS Managing Director K B Krishna in Bengaluru on Thursday, will help consumers to get their requirements in the stores of both undertakings. The customers of HOPCOMS will also be able to buy MTR products at their outlets.

HOPCOMS is operating in Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapura and Ramanagara districts.

MTR Foods is proposing the take up a number of initiatives to provide infrastructure and farming facilities to help increase the productivity of farmers besides giving emphasis on food safety and maintaining quality.
