Chris Brown dedicates new song to victims of police brutality

Los Angeles, Jul 8 (IANS): Singer Chris Brown has unveiled a new song "My Friend", dedicating it to victims of police brutality in the US.

All across the US, people vented their anger over the killings of two black men -- Anton Sterling and Philando Castile -- who were shot dead by white policemen.

Following the fatal shootings of Sterling and Castile, the "Loyal" hitmaker shared on Instagram a link to "My friend", reports aceshowbiz.com.

The caption read: "This song I released for free for anybody dealing with injustice or struggle in their lives."

The song's lyrics are: "I can't even cry/ Anxiety at night/ Can't make up excuses/ Gotta face the music."

He weighed in on the police brutality cases in another clip, saying: "S**t is f***ing annoying and it's disrespectful. Man, we are getting killed every day. I'm getting pissed off about this s**t, regardless of how you f***ing view me, us as a people need to start coming together."

He then posted a news story featuring a bloodied Sterling with a police officer pointing a gun at him.
