Ballari, Jul 9: In an accident which occurred in the early hours of Friday July 8 on national highway near Shivapura in Kudligi taluk in the district, three died on the spot while another suffered serious injuries. The accident occurred when a car and a truck got involved with head on collision.
Muhammed Shafiulla (38), Abdul Asifar (37), and Wasim (34) all from Bengaluru, lost their lives in this accident. Irfan (35), also from Bengaluru, suffered critical injuries. He stands admitted into Vijayanagara Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in the city.
These four persons were going to visit the cattle fair at Ginigera near Gangavati for buying cows when accident took place. A truck that was moving towards Chitradurga from the direction of Hospet hit the Indica car in which the above four persons were seated.
Kudligi station police visited the spot and registered a case.
