Bengaluru, Jul 10: Angered by the fact that his brother-in-law did not share with him profit earned out of trade in cow bones, a man sliced the throat of his brother-in-law. The incident occurred a around midnight on Friday July 8.

Charles Kumar (30), resident of Sadbhavana Nagar in Devarajeevanahalli was murdered in this incident by the cousin of his wife, Soorya (28), and his friend, Dileep (29). Deputy commissioner of police (west), Satish Kumar, said that both of them have been arrested.

Charles Kumar used to work for a factory engaged in manufacture of puppets. He also had made some investment in a business he jointly ran with his brother-in-law. The two bought cow bones from slaughter houses and sell the same after making powder. Soorya demanded payment of Rs 1,000 per month as profit in this business, but it is said, Soorya refused to comply.

As Charles Kumar failed to share profit with him, Soorya had come to the former's house on Friday night. Charles was discussing the matter with Soorya and his friend, Dileep, by sitting on a motor bike in front of his home. After the discussions gave way to flared tempers, Soorya suddenly sliced Kumar's throat and stabbed his back with a knife, it is said. By the time neighbours rushed to the rescue after hearing the shouts of Charles, Soorya and Dileep had fled.

Charles Kumar was rushed to Bowring Hospital but he had died due to bleeding on the way. A team led by inspector Kulkarni arrested the murderers on the basis of information provided by informers, deputy commissioner of police said. A case was registered in Devarajeevanahalli station about this incident.
