Begi sworn in Arunachal's Chief Information Commissioner


Itanagar, July 10 (IANS): Educationist Joram Begi was on Sunday sworn in as the Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh by Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy, who is also the acting Governor of Arunachal Pradesh.

Begi, a former Director of Higher and Technical Education in Arunachal Pradesh, comes in place of Y.D. Thongchi, whose tenure ended in 2015.

Begi, a former Director of North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology, is a member in the Central Advisory Board of Education and the National Council of Teacher Education.

Arunachal Assembly Speaker Wangki Lowang, Chief Minister Kalikho Pul, state ministers and legislators, former Chief Minister Gegong Apang attended the function.
