Udupi, Jul 12: District BJP Mahila Morcha staged a protest against the ruling party, near Clock Tower, here on Monday July 11, opposing chief minister’s stand on the investigation of DySP M K Ganapati suicide case.

Sheela K Shetty, district Morcha president, enquired, "How many dear friends of the chief minister Siddaramaiah are here? How many innocent families have lost their family members due to selfish politicians?"

She alleged that Siddaramaiah is trying to protect K J George by twisting available evidence. "It is just intolerable and DySP Ganapati’s family should get justice."

State secretary Shyamala Kundar addressing the protestors said, "The opposition party has attained ‘protest bhagya’ for us since three years of Congress rule at state level, but Congress leaders are fighting among themselves for a seat in the cabinet."

She also added, "Women government officials do not have protection under the governance of Congress in the state. After all these terrible incidents, the public will realize the truth. Congress will not stay for very long. The public themselves will boycott this government."

District BJP Mahila Morcha demands this case be handed over to CBI probe.

Geethanjali Suvarna, Kaup, Veena V Nayka, Nayana Ganesh, Sandhya Ramesh and others were present.
