Madikeri, Jul 13: Kodagu district in-charge minister, M R Seetharam, visited the family of the late deputy superintendent of police, Ganapati, at Rangasamudra near Kushalnagar on Tuesday July 12. He visited the house of Ganapati's father, Madapanda Kushalappa, and shared the grief of the family members.

Seetharam had discussions with Kushalappa. He prayed to the god to give to the family the strength to withstand the grief. "Like you, we too are hurt by this unfortunate incident. I had good relationship with Ganapati when he was working in Malleshwaram police station, which has jurisdiction over the residence where I stayed. There is no doubt that he was a very good police officer," he stated.

He also requested Kushalappa's support to the efforts meant to ensure that opposition parties are not allowed to use the issue of Ganapati's death for reaping political benefit.
