Belagavi: Roof of court crashes at midnight

Belagavi, Jul 15: The roof of the second additional JMFC court hall located in the premises of the district and sessions court here crashed in the early hours on Thursday July 14.

The wall of the building appeared to be fine but the RCC roof where water had accumulated due to heavy rain since the last some days. The wall had absorbed moisture. Luckily the court was not in session when the incident happened.

It has been 40 years since this court hall was built. As soon as the information reached him, district and sessions judge ordered suspension of proceedings in second additional JMFC court. Thereafter, he asked the court to function in the hall of the seventh additional court.
