Papon, Sona, Lucky Ali excited to perform for Delhi-NCR crowd

New Delhi, July 17 (IANS): Popular music artistes Lucky Ali, Papon and Sona Mohapatra are upbeat about taking the Delhi-NCR crowd on a musical trip when they take to the stage at Red Live's concert Unwind in the capital's suburb Gurgaon on July 24.

Red Live is the experiential vertical of radio network Red FM, and promises "music, masti and entertainment" via the concert.

“Platforms such as Red Live Unwind are doing a brilliant job in bringing forth a variety of music genres to audiences; from sufi to mainstream, to folk, to indie. I am truly enthusiastic about my performance and to collaborate with Sona and Lucky Ali," Papon said in a statement.

He recently bagged an award for crooning the soulful "Moh moh ke dhaage" track from "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" at the International Indian Film Academy awards 2016.

Known for songs like "Kyon" and "Jiyein kyun", Papon has always endeavoured to keep traditional folk music alive through his work. He is a multi-instrumentalist, a producer, a composer and in current times, he has one of the most powerful voices of Indian indie and Bollywood music industry.

On her part, Sona, who has crooned quirky numbers like "Bedardi raja" and "Ambarsariya" as well as the soul-stirring "Naina", is waiting to perform for an "energetic" audience.

“While I love playback singing in the studio, the experience and excitement of performing live on stage in front an energetic audience, is incomparably mesmerising for me," Sona said.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Red Live Unwind concert and keenly look forward to performing with Lucky Ali and Papon."

"More than anything else, I am waiting to perform for my fans in Delhi and Gurgaon. I hope to match up to the crazy energy that 'Dilwaalon ki Dilli' brings with it,” she added.

Also, Lucky, who has evergreen musical hits like "O Sanam" and "Aa bhi ja" to his credit, will be taking fans of his genre of songs down the memory lane.

“I am absolutely thrilled to reconnect with my fans through this concert. When on stage, I feel at peace because all that matters then is the music, all the energy and all the exuberance of the buzzing audience is like a fuel that keeps the artiste going," Lucky said.

"I am really looking forward to performing for the Delhi/Gurgaon audience as the energy that they bring with them is completely infectious."
