Moodbidri, Jul 19: Hosangadi Mohiuddin Juma Masjid Khatib Al Haj M A Ibrahim Kasimi (60), popularly known as Kasimi Ustad passed away on Monday July 18 due to cardiac arrest.

Having served at the Masjid for the last 35 years, he had a large number of pupils. The incident occurred on his return after participating in a wedding programme at Karkala on Monday. He was admitted to a private hospital in Moodbidri.

He hailed from Venooru Narthikal and stayed at Gantalkatte Nethodi.

He is survived by his wife, four sons and a daughter.
