Kalaburagi, Jul 20: In an accident which occurred on Vagzari-Ribbanapalli state highway near Dogibana in Aland taluk in the district on Tuesday July 19, a truck and a Cruiser vehicle got involved with head on collision. In this tragic accident, eight persons from a single family were killed.
The deceased were from Ingale family from Kanagara village in Usmanabad taluk, Maharashtra.
The family members were going to pay obeisance at the seat of Datta at Devalaganagapura. At Dhogihalla, there is a bridge which is divided into two roads. Those who want to go towards Kalaburagi have to take left side road. The driver of Cruiser vehicle, who should have taken right side road to go towards Aland, took the vehicle on the left side road, a mistake which proved to be fatal.
As soon as the accident occurred, driver of the Cruiser vehicle fled from the spot.
